About The Position

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is seeking a Chief Accountant to join its Finance team. The role oversees the hotel’s financial operations, including general ledger and financial reporting, budgets and inventory, payroll processing, and financial transactions. The Chief Accountant also supervises, coaches, and develops team members. The resort is located on 22 acres in Waikiki and has 2,860 rooms, 17 food and beverage outlets, and more than 150,000 square feet of function space.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounts, reconcile accounts, review discrepancies, and guide team members in resolving issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee accurate financial reporting, including month-end closing, monthly forecasts, and variance reports.
• Track and manage inventories and operational expenses to maintain cost control.
• Oversee timekeeping systems, weekly payroll submissions, gratuity calculations, and monthly payroll audits.
• Ensure proper processing of received checks, calculate daily deposit transmittals, and maintain financial records.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements.
