About The Position

Spend your summer gaining more than work experience—build skills, relationships, and a foundation for your future. The Cherokee Internship Program provides high-potential Cherokee students with an immersive experience across Cherokee Nation Entertainment properties and offices. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, gain insight into casino and hospitality operations, and take on meaningful projects that contribute to the organization’s success. From Tulsa and West Siloam Springs to Tahlequah, Roland, and other CNE locations, interns will have opportunities to experience our diverse operations while learning in a supportive, mission-driven culture that honors Cherokee heritage. The program runs late May through early August 2027, with compensation based on college class status.

Requirements

• Must be a Cherokee Nation citizen with a valid CDIB or Cherokee Nation Citizenship Card.
• Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others and work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative.
• Curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
• Professional, dependable, and committed to making a meaningful contribution.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience within your assigned department and the casino and hospitality industry.
• Support day-to-day operations, projects, and initiatives that align with department goals.
• Take ownership of meaningful projects and deliver measurable contributions.
• Collaborate with team members across departments and CNE properties.
• Participate in professional development, networking, and learning opportunities.
• Build relationships with CNE leaders, professionals, and fellow interns.
• Learn about the diverse career opportunities available within Cherokee Nation Entertainment.
• Represent CNE with professionalism, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
