About The Position
The Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) Summer Internship Program is a nine-week paid program designed for driven Cherokee Nation citizens looking to gain real-world experience. It offers immersion in real projects, real people, and real impact within a mission-driven culture grounded in Cherokee values. CNB is a dynamic, tribally owned enterprise committed to innovation, economic growth, and cultural preservation, with operations in federal contracting, gaming & hospitality, real estate, economic development, Cherokee Film, IT, and more. The program provides hands-on learning with leaders and subject-matter experts, opportunities to build networks, and a chance to contribute to work that matters.
Requirements
- Must be a Cherokee Nation citizen with a valid CDIB or Citizenship card.
- Must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must possess strong communication, collaboration, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Must be curious, enthusiastic, and ready to make an impact.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to real business goals across CNB departments including Finance & Accounting, Information Technology & Cybersecurity, Real Estate, Marketing & Communications, Human Resources & Talent Development, Legal & Compliance, Economic Development, and Cherokee Film & Cultural Initiatives.
- Participate in leadership mentorship.
- Attend career-building workshops.
- Engage in exclusive networking events.
- Complete trainings designed to build lifelong professional capability.
