About The Position

School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/Manager in the Allentown, Pa area. This is a full-time position with a day shift, 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday. There may be occasional nights for school board catering events. K-12 school food service experience is a plus. Must be familiar with high volume catering. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools. Must have proven cooking experience. ServSafe ® certificate is preferred.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools.
• Must have proven cooking experience.
• Must be proficient in various computer software (Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• K-12 school food service experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with high volume catering.
• ServSafe ® certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.
• Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.
• Preparing for Catering events.
• Ensuring all safety and cleanliness guidelines are being practiced at all times.
• Ensuring personal protection equipment is being used at all times.
• Food ordering and inventory.
• Staffing needs.
