The Chef(fe) de service - ressources humaines is responsible for strategic human resources planning and strategies aimed at supporting sustainable and profitable business operations with a focus on the business partner role. The incumbent will support the Northeast and Great Lakes Regional HR Director and line managers by identifying key HR issues and developing action plans to support operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is a requirement.
  • Microsoft Suite, Success Factors ERP and other HRIS systems.
  • Strong technical expertise in HR (compensation, benefits, labor relations, talent development).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and manage difficult situations with influence.
  • Experience in leadership, project management, and knowledge of organizational development.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the appropriate use of Amrize-approved personal protective equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and operational support to ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies to ensure appropriate resources are available to achieve planned results.
  • Oversee performance management activities, including development plans, evaluations, bonuses, and labor relations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and advise client groups to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Analyze trends and data (HR indicators) to support evidence-based decisions and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Serve as an expert on corporate culture to foster a high-performing and engaged work environment.
  • Play a strategic role in change management by fostering employee buy-in and minimizing resistance.
  • Collaborate with the training team to identify needs and help create or facilitate development programs.
  • Lead talent management to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains the right people.
  • Ensure legal compliance by applying relevant laws, conducting investigations, and representing the organization at hearings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a safety culture and demonstrate these behaviors.
