About The Position

Progesys Inc. is a recognized firm in project management and the optimal transition of these projects from construction to operation. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Progesys is currently looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join its work team.

Requirements

  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, or any other combination of education and experience deemed relevant.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingualism essential (English and French), third language an asset (bilingualism is required for this position as the employee will need to communicate with stakeholders outside of Quebec who do not speak French).
  • Proficiency with Excel and computer tools.
  • Rigor, meticulousness, and autonomy.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the engineering and/or industrial sectors (mining and metals, petrochemicals, energy, infrastructure) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Sage, BreezyHR, and Safecontractor tools is an asset.
  • Member of the Ordre des CRHA is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and send contracts, letters, and communications to employees and candidates.
  • Contribute to improving the candidate experience and ensuring the smooth onboarding and integration of new employees, both in Quebec and internationally.
  • Manage work permit applications for Canada.
  • Act as an HR partner to managers and employees on various aspects such as performance management, compensation, labor relations, and professional development.
  • Provide advice on the application of internal policies and compliance with labor standards.
  • Participate in updating salary scales, salary proposals and reviews, and bonus programs.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure proper payroll processing and compliance with compensation policies.
  • Ensure the updating and compliance of employee files (absences, illnesses, vacations, increases, terminations, etc.) in the HRIS.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements.
  • Manage work accident files with the CNESST and actively participate in the Health and Safety (SST) committee.
  • Advise and support managers in managing disciplinary measures, departures, and other situations affecting labor relations, ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.
  • Provide first-level support to employees and ensure fluid and effective communication between stakeholders.
  • Assist the training manager in managing SST training files.
  • Perform all related tasks.
