Urban Plates is seeking experienced Chefs / Executive Kitchen Managers for future openings in Del Mar, preparing for growth in the greater San Diego market. Requirements

  • Experience as a Chef or Executive Kitchen Manager.
  • Ability to cook "real food" from scratch.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Meet minimum auto insurance requirements.
  • Willingness to drive on behalf of the Company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Rational ovens, blast chillers, Kitchen Display System, & Date Code Genie.
  • Familiarity with CTuit, The Huddle (LMS) & Dayforce systems/processes/technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare "real food" from scratch.
  • Manage kitchen operations to optimize food quality, production, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement seasonal menu changes 3-4 times a year.
  • Train and develop culinary skills of team members.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Manage inventory and ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
