About The Position

Boulder Ponds, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef/Cook to join their growing team. Boulder Ponds Senior Living recently opened in the spring of 2021 in Lake Elmo, MN. It is located right on the border of Woodbury and Oakdale, right off highway 94. They help seniors Age Magnificently in their gorgeous 95-unit, apartment-style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care services. Boulder Ponds Senior Living is a growing community with a fun, caring, passionate team who assists residents in aging magnificently. Shifts are Full Time AM (6:00am-2:30pm) or Full Time PM (11:00am-6:30pm) with every other weekend rotation only. The wage is $17.50-$22.50. This role is for someone compassionate and passionate about enriching the lives of others, helping seniors Age Magnificently. The Cook/Chef becomes family and impacts the lives of residents in a Lifespark Senior Living Community.

Requirements

Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.
Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
