About The Position
Seeking a Charge Nurse for the 2D Neuro Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) working nights (7pm-7am) exclusively on weekends (Weekend Only Work - WOW). This role is benefit-eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced applicants. The position involves self-scheduling and provides premium pay for WOW shifts. The Charge RN acts as a resource nurse, coordinating care during designated shifts and providing leadership to staff members in patient care. Responsibilities include determining staffing fluctuations, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. This role has immediate oversight of employees performing similar work.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
- One year of nursing experience required.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
