Charge RN Weekend Only Nights 2D Neuro
About The Position
Seeking a Charge Nurse for the Weekend Only Nights (WOW) 2D Neuro Unit. This is a part-time position (24 Hours Weekly) working nights (7pm-7am) exclusively on weekends. This role is benefit-eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced applicants. The Charge RN acts as a resource nurse for the department, providing leadership for staff members in patient care coordination during designated shifts. Responsibilities include direct patient care, determining staffing needs, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. This position involves immediate oversight of employees performing similar or related work. The 2D Neuro unit specializes in high-quality care for adult patients with neuroscience diagnoses such as strokes, TIAs, seizures, epilepsy, degenerative neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and other central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, the unit is recognized for its state-of-the-art stroke care and neuroscience nursing excellence. The unit fosters a collaborative and supportive environment with an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
- One year of nursing experience required.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
