About The Position

Seeking a Charge Nurse for Labor and Delivery. This is a part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days (7am-7pm) position, working Weekend Only (WOW) shifts. This role is benefit-eligible and may include a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants. The Charge Nurse acts as a resource for the department, providing leadership for staff members in patient care coordination during designated shifts. Responsibilities include working alongside the team, providing direct patient care, determining staffing needs, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees performing similar work.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
One year of nursing experience required.
One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.

Nice To Haves

NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties) required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.

Responsibilities

Acting as a resource nurse for the department.
