About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Charge Nurse for their Labor and Delivery department. This is a part-time, nights position working 24 hours weekly on a Weekend Only Work (WOW) schedule. This role is benefit-eligible and may include a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants. The Charge Nurse acts as a resource and provides leadership for the department during their shift, coordinating care, determining staffing needs, responding to concerns, addressing staff issues, and managing patient flow. This position involves direct patient care alongside leadership responsibilities. The Labor and Delivery department features eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms, and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring. They offer natural birthing options and average around 1,000 births annually.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties) required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• One year of nursing experience required.
• Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.

Nice To Haves
