Seeking a Charge Nurse for Labor and Delivery. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) working nights (7pm-7am). A sign-on bonus is available for experienced external applicants. The Charge Nurse acts as a resource for the department, coordinating care during designated shifts and providing leadership to staff in patient care. This role involves working alongside the team, providing direct patient care, determining staffing needs, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. The position has immediate oversight of employees performing similar or related work. The Labor and Delivery department features eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms, and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring. Natural birthing options like nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls are available. The department averages around 1,000 births annually.
