About The Position

Seeking a Charge Nurse for Labor and Delivery at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm). It is a benefit-eligible role and may include a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants. The Charge Nurse acts as a resource for the department, providing leadership for staff members in patient care coordination during designated shifts. Responsibilities include determining staffing needs, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. This role involves direct patient care alongside team members and has immediate oversight of employees performing similar work.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties) required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
One year of nursing experience required.
Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.

Nice To Haves
