About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse supports leadership on the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit by providing staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. The nurse communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions, and participates in shared governance and councils. The position calls for ongoing development of individual knowledge and skills, advancement of the nursing profession, and lifelong learning. This is a PRN night-shift role at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. Hours are as needed and varied, with rotating weekends and holidays required. The unit offers self-scheduling, an engaged leadership team, multidisciplinary collaboration, and resources to support patient care, education, and career growth.

Requirements

Nursing diploma required.
Associate degree from an accredited nursing program required.
One year of experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, required.
Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required before providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Two years of strong medical telemetry experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
