About The Position

The community is seeking a dependable, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide PRN coverage on day or night shifts. Managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance, the community emphasizes compassionate, high-quality resident care, clinical excellence, teamwork, and respect for direct care staff. The Charge Nurse leads the shift’s clinical operations, supervises direct care staff, administers medications and treatments, and serves as a primary clinical contact for residents, families, and attending physicians. Shifts are 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Strong assessment, medication administration, and emergency response capabilities.
• Dependable, approachable, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Charge Nurse or floor nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living, or Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee shift nursing care, ensuring resident care plans, physician orders, and facility protocols are followed.
• Administer medications and perform complex wound care and treatments; monitor resident vital signs and clinical conditions.
• Guide, mentor, and support CNAs/STNAs, ensuring timely completion of daily care duties and resident assistance.
• Document clinical changes, assessments, incidents, and shift reports in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to attending physicians, families, and incoming shift leadership.
