About The Position

The LVN/LPN Charge Nurse participates in and oversees patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure. The role observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, and documents care in accordance with Cantex Clinical Policies & Procedures and state and federal guidelines and regulations. It also includes relevant electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, implementing care plans as directed, administering prescribed medications and treatments, and helping assign duties and supervise CNA staff to support patients’ highest practical well-being. Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid LVN/LPN (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure.
• Observe, assess, and report patient conditions and changes.
• Document care in accordance with Cantex Clinical Policies & Procedures and state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Complete EMR documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition.
• Ensure implementation of care plans as directed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in assigning duties and supervise CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care.
