RN/LVN Charge Nurse
About The Position
Ashford Gardens is hiring an RN/LVN Charge Nurse for weekend night shifts from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The role participates in and oversees patient care within the scope of the nurse’s license. The position is part time and located at Skilled Nursing at Ashford Gardens in Houston, Texas. The nurse observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, and documents care according to Cantex clinical policies and procedures and applicable state and federal guidelines. The role also ensures care plans are implemented as directed, administers prescribed medications and treatments, and helps assign duties and supervise CNA staff to support patients’ highest practical well-being.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- A valid RN, LVN, or LPN license.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of the applicable nursing license.
- Observe, assess, and report patient conditions and changes.
- Document patient care according to Cantex clinical policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines.
- Complete EMR documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition, in accordance with nursing practices.
- Ensure care plans are implemented as directed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Participate in assigning duties to CNA staff and supervise their delivery of appropriate clinical care.
