About The Position

Skilled Nursing at Prairie Estates in Frisco, Texas is seeking an LVN/LPN Charge Nurse to join a team focused on compassionate care, a positive culture, and career advancement. The position participates in and oversees patient care within the scope of the nurse’s licensure. The nurse observes and assesses patient conditions, reports changes, documents care in the electronic medical record in accordance with nursing practices and Cantex clinical policies, and follows applicable state and federal guidelines. The nurse implements care plans as directed, administers prescribed medications and treatments, and helps assign duties and supervise CNA staff to support patients’ highest practical well-being. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
Valid LVN/LPN (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) license.

Responsibilities

Participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure.
Observe and assess patient conditions, report changes, and document in accordance with clinical policies and applicable state and federal guidelines.
Document patient assessments, evaluations, and changes of condition in the electronic medical record in accordance with nursing practices.
Ensure implementation of care plans as directed.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Participate in assigning duties and supervise CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care.
