LVN Charge Nurse
About The Position
Cantex is seeking an LVN/LPN Charge Nurse to participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure at Skilled Nursing at Beacon Hill in Denison, Texas. The role involves assessing and reporting patient conditions and changes, documenting care in the electronic medical record, implementing care plans, administering prescribed medications and treatments, and helping supervise CNA staff. The position is full-time and scheduled for double weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Cantex describes its culture as positive and focused on career advancement, and states that diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to its workplace.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid LVN/LPN (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) license.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure.
- Observe and assess patient conditions and changes, report them, and document them in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Complete electronic medical record documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition in accordance with nursing practices.
- Ensure care plans are implemented as directed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Participate in assigning duties and supervise CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care to maintain patients’ highest practical well-being.
