Charge Nurse LPN - Part-Time NIGHTS $15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
About The Position
The Charge Nurse LPN provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders, regulations, location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans. The role assists in formulating and updating residents’ plans of care, observes and documents resident conditions and care, accurately uses the EMR, and ensures physicians are notified and orders are processed. The nurse also communicates resident information, responds to call lights, supports resident and family education, and notifies families of changes in condition. The position follows linen-handling, infection-prevention, and personal-protective-equipment procedures, including timely reporting and follow-up of possible infections. The role is part-time, with night shifts indicated in the title; various shifts are available.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure for the state of practice is required.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.

Responsibilities
- Assist with formulating and updating plans of care for residents in the assigned area.
- Provide nursing care according to physician orders, regulations, location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans.
- Observe and document residents’ conditions and care provided, using the EMR accurately.
- Ensure physicians are notified and orders are processed.
- Receive and share information; observe and report residents’ conditions.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights.
- Direct and assist with resident and family/significant-other education.
- Notify families of changes in residents’ conditions.
- Handle linens properly and dispose of soiled linens, clothing, and supplies according to regulations and guidelines.
- Use standard precautions and personal protective equipment, follow transmission guidelines, and wash hands between resident care.
- Report signs and symptoms of resident infections and ensure timely follow-up.
