About The Position

Airbus Atlantique, a global player in aerostructures, pilot seats, and premium passenger seats, is seeking a Project Manager for Investments for its Mirabel site. This role involves leading various company projects related to the acquisition of equipment and tooling, as well as building modifications, ensuring adherence to allocated timelines and budgets. The daily work must be performed in compliance with health and safety standards. The Projects team is composed of passionate individuals working collaboratively in a positive atmosphere, with a mission to support the production department in assembling aerospace products.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical manufacturing and design.
  • Experience in the aeronautics sector and supporting medium-series production.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tools).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Catia V5.
  • Mastery of tolerancing and dimensioning principles.
  • Ability to use and interpret aeronautical standards (an asset).
  • Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical work required for the acquisition of equipment and tooling.
  • Manage the project lifecycle, overseeing all phases from feasibility study and business plan to implementation, production launch, and change management.
  • Gather, analyze, and challenge internal department needs to design technical solutions, prepare quotes, and estimate costs.
  • Write specifications, conduct tenders, analyze supplier options, and perform factory visits.
  • Ensure strict control of deadlines, deliverables, and quality with external partners.
  • Monitor budgets, develop risk management and mitigation plans, and maintain performance indicators (IPC).
  • Lead cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives, while optimizing internal project management processes.
