About The Position

Soitec is a publicly traded company on Euronext Paris, a leader in the microelectronics value chain. Our innovative semiconductor materials are crucial for smartphone performance, 5G, connected cars, electric and autonomous vehicles, and IoT devices. This role is integral to enabling technological innovation adoption while minimizing environmental impact through responsible innovation and sustainable development. The position involves the setup, monitoring, and management of projects aimed at funding microelectronics innovation across the value chain. Key responsibilities include developing European projects in strategic areas like power electronics for electric vehicles, 5G/6G communication, and smart objects. You will interact with public funders at local, national, and European levels, coordinate internal departments and external European partners, and provide updates on technological progress and project risks. Financial oversight of project budgets and payment claims, impact assessment integrating sustainable development criteria, market analysis for future funding needs, and engagement within the funding program ecosystem are also key aspects. Additionally, you will handle administrative filings, contract management, and assist with communications related to funding activities.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree or an Engineering degree with a specialization in Innovation Management.
  • Looking for an apprenticeship (preferably for 24 months).
  • Strong interest in innovation policies, European funding, and advanced technologies.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Comfortable with the administrative and financial management of complex projects.
  • Rigor, organizational skills, and analytical mindset.
  • Strong level of English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

  • Participating in the development of European projects supporting innovation in strategic fields such as power electronics for electric vehicles, as well as 5G/6G communication and smart objects.
  • Interacting with local, national, and European public funders (e.g., Regional authorities, DGE, DG Connect) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinating internal departments (Innovation, Finance, Business Units, Legal) as well as external European partners (RTOs, industrial leaders, SMEs).
  • Providing regular updates on technological progress in collaboration with innovation teams and tracking project risks (financial, technological, and partnership-related).
  • Managing project finances (budgets, payment claims) in coordination with the Finance team.
  • Contributing to the evaluation of project impacts, integrating criteria related to sustainable development, the European Green Deal, industrial sovereignty, and value creation.
  • Conducting market analysis and strategic monitoring alongside the Strategy Office and Sales teams to identify future funding needs.
  • Creating and participating in events within the funding program ecosystem and handling administrative filings and contract management for European calls for projects.
  • Assisting the team with funding activity communications (press releases, social media, posters, and intranet).
