About The Position

Martha & Mary is seeking a caring, dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual guidance, emotional support, and meaningful connections to residents, families, and staff. The role supports people through life's joys, challenges, and transitions in a welcoming, mission-driven environment. The position is part-time and temporary, anticipated to conclude in July 2027, and is located in Poulsbo, Washington. The hourly wage is $24.00–$28.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Chaplain or Pastor License required.
• Previous experience serving in a pastoral or spiritual care role.
• A compassionate, approachable personality and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
• Strong communication, listening, and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide comfort, encouragement, and support with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Divinity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to residents, families, and staff through individual visits, pastoral care, and grief support.
• Lead and coordinate chapel services, Bible studies, memorial services, and other spiritual programs.
• Partner with local churches, pastors, and community organizations to support residents' spiritual needs.
• Coordinate and support volunteers assisting with worship services, music, and spiritual activities.
• Encourage resident participation in meaningful activities, including the woodshop and Art & You programs.
• Collaborate with nursing, resident life, and leadership teams to support the overall well-being of those served.
