About The Position

Paychex is hiring a Channel Sales Associate to help small businesses with 1–99 employees succeed through HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance solutions. The role generates new business through CPA and client referral partners as well as outbound outreach. It involves building partner relationships, carrying out high-volume sales activity, managing a fast-paced sales cycle of approximately 1–2 weeks, and owning the process from prospecting through closing. The position is intended for early-career sales professionals who are driven, coachable, resilient, and motivated by goals and performance incentives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of experience in a relevant sales or marketing role.
Experience working toward goals or quotas in sales or a similar environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience through work, school, nonprofits, clubs, or other organizations.
Comfort with high activity, fast sales cycles, and transactional deal sizes.
Resilience, drive, competitive motivation, and coachability.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Relevant sales experience of 1–5 years.
Leadership experience such as serving as a treasurer, team lead, or project lead.

Responsibilities

Generate new business through referral partners and outbound outreach.
Build relationships with CPAs and existing clients to drive new logos.
Make calls, follow up, and conduct partner touchpoints to build the sales pipeline.
Sell payroll, HR, benefits, retirement, and compliance solutions.
Manage a fast-paced sales cycle of approximately 1–2 weeks with small business owners.
Own the full sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
