About The Position

Inland SoCal 211+ manages San Bernardino County’s Coordinated Entry System (CES), an evidence-based process that connects people experiencing homelessness to appropriate housing and services. CES Outreach Coordinators answer live calls, conduct prescreening, provide in-person assistance, and work with the housing team to engage unhoused people in CES and support their progress toward permanent housing. The role provides customer service using a trauma-informed, whole-person, evidence-based approach and requires compassionate care alongside consistent, detail-oriented workflows. This full-time, non-exempt hourly position is grant funded through June 2026, with continued employment dependent on funding. It is based in Riverside, California, with a hybrid arrangement, and reports to the CES Supervisor. Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends. The role follows a 32-hour workweek during a six-month trial period; the schedule and hourly pay may revert to a 40-hour workweek depending on the trial and organizational decisions. The pay range is $25.00–$28.60 per hour, paid biweekly. The position combines field outreach and administrative work. Fieldwork may involve serving people on streets, in shelters, or in places not intended for habitation, including exposure to infestations or unhygienic conditions. Personal protective equipment will be provided as required. Administrative duties take place in an office using standard office equipment. The role involves frequent sitting, walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, and driving. A driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required minimum personal liability insurance are necessary. The position may involve use of a company or personal vehicle for travel to client locations, encampments, meetings, and events across San Bernardino County; personal-vehicle mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Remote work requires private high-speed internet and a private work area that protects confidential information.
