About The Position

Dolan Auto Group is seeking a Certified Technician to perform automotive repairs and service according to store and factory standards. The technician diagnoses and resolves automotive problems promptly and accurately and works with service personnel and management to help ensure customer satisfaction. The role includes a range of routine, light-duty, and heavy-duty repairs, as well as engine diagnostics and repair. This is a full-time position in Fernley, Nevada. The position has been identified as affecting public safety under Nevada Assembly Bill 132; candidates offered employment must submit to pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Must submit to pre-employment screening for controlled substances if offered employment.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to perform repetitive movements, including squatting, twisting, kneeling, bending, stooping, fast-paced walking, and light jogging when necessary.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds without assistance at various times.
Ability to work with exposure to weather and potentially extreme temperature ranges.

Responsibilities

Replace brake pads and rotors.
Perform minor repairs and replace parts.
Perform tune-ups and replace spark plugs.
Replace transmission, brake, power steering, and rear differential fluids.
Diagnose vehicle problems, including check-engine lights and noises during operation.
Perform light-duty and heavy-duty repairs.
Perform engine diagnostics and repairs.
Work with service personnel and management to help ensure customer satisfaction.
