About The Position

INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to work in the Main OR at INTEGRIS Health Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma. This full-time, day-shift role supports the surgical team in delivering patient care in a variety of settings. Under the supervision of licensed surgical staff, the Surgical Tech helps prepare surgical areas, manage instruments and supplies, and maintain sterile techniques. The role may suit individuals beginning careers in surgical services or transitioning from other clinical or patient-care roles. Requirements

BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
NCCT-TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) or AST-CST (Certified Surgical Tech).
A non-certified tech may be considered if they have completed a surgical technology program or have at least one year of scrub experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining the sterile field under supervision.
Demonstrate an understanding of the procedure and support the surgical team’s needs.
Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
Scrub, gown, and glove appropriately.
Set up sterile tables with instruments and supplies under guidance.
Perform instrument and sponge counts with the circulator.
Pass instruments during surgery.
Help clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
Support terminal cleaning of rooms and preparation for the next procedure.
Retrieve and transport medications when needed; medication preparation or administration is not included.
