About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech for the Surgery unit at its Florence, Kentucky hospital. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the role performs scrub-person duties to meet patients’ surgical needs in the perioperative setting. The position requires treating patients, families, visitors, and colleagues with respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy, regardless of cultural background.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
- Provide proof of certification within one year of hire.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub-person duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse to meet patients’ surgical needs in the perioperative setting.
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in encounters with patients, families, visitors, and other employees, regardless of cultural background.
