About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for the Surgery unit at its Florence, Kentucky hospital. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the CST performs scrub-person duties to meet patients’ surgical needs in the perioperative setting. The role calls for respectful, dignified, kind, and empathetic interactions with patients, families, visitors, and employees, regardless of cultural background. This is a regular, full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week on first shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
• Provide proof of certification within one year of hire.
• Have in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment used for surgical procedures.

• Perform scrub-person duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse to meet patients’ surgical needs in the perioperative setting.
