Certified Surgical Tech / CST Labor & Delivery
About The Position
Join BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, as a full-time, night-shift Labor and Delivery Certified Surgical Technologist. Working under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel, the CST facilitates the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. The role supports quality patient care during procedures, maintains vigilance over the sterile field, and helps ensure the operating room is safe, equipment functions properly, and procedures take place under conditions that maximize patient safety. Requirements
- Hold and maintain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or NCCT certification if practicing prior to 2009.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
- Complete a CAAHEP-accredited or other nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists.
