About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified CRNA to join our anesthesia team in a busy surgical facility. This role provides exceptional clinical autonomy while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a well-equipped operative setting. You'll administer anesthesia across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedic procedures, obstetrics, and cardiovascular cases, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in every procedure.

Requirements

  • Current Board Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program
  • Eligible for Texas state CRNA licensure (or currently licensed in Texas)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently with excellent decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team-based care
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality anesthesia care

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques (training and mentorship available)
  • Experience with cardiovascular anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia
  • Previous experience in independent CRNA practice settings
  • Knowledge of current anesthesia equipment and monitoring technology

Responsibilities

  • Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation for surgical and obstetric procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery throughout surgical procedures
  • Manage pain control and post-operative care for surgical patients
  • Handle diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiovascular procedures, and OB anesthesia
  • Work independently while collaborating with surgical teams, physicians, and nursing staff
  • Maintain current knowledge of anesthesia best practices and patient safety protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
