About The Position
This part-time, temporary position is with the Veteran Affairs Office and supports Student Success staff across a variety of student services areas. The Certified Peer Advisor provides assistance and encouragement to students and refers them to the appropriate college service area when necessary. The position requires availability during Student Success hours of operation: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The position is located at Advising, 1801 M. L. King Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78203. It is hourly, 19 hours per week, and is not eligible for benefits. There is one opening. Requirements
- Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at one of the Alamo Colleges District colleges or another accredited institution of higher education after attending or graduating from an Alamo Colleges District college.
- Must complete badges related to the position as determined by the Alamo Colleges.
- Must complete Peer Advisor Certification training, as assigned, within the first year of employment.
- Must be available during Student Success hours of operation.
Responsibilities
