About The Position

Carlton Shores Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide quality rehabilitation care to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA follows the plan of care and applicable laws, regulations, and facility guidelines. Carlton Shores is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Daytona Beach, Florida, providing sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care in a modern, comfortable, and secure setting. Requirements

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Communicate with patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team.
• Provide timely written documentation in accordance with facility and department requirements.
• Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional association.
• Support and participate in department operations and development.
• Report changes in patient status or needs to the supervising therapist in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit patient charges accurately to ensure appropriate billing information is available.
• Coordinate treatment goals with other team members.
