About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides compassionate care to patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses, carrying out individual therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This per diem role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with weekday shifts available for pickup. Compensation is $42.00 per hour. The position offers an extensive orientation program and the possibility of future full-time opportunities. Per diem employees may qualify for 401(k) eligibility after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor each patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
