About The Position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is an in-house team member who supports residents in a senior living community as they work toward greater independence. The role requires patience, compassion, adaptability, attention to detail, and collaboration. The position is PRN, as needed, at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Ohio.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain patient records, including evaluating and documenting resident progress.
• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy progress activities.
• Test and evaluate residents’ physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals.
• Plan and implement programs and social activities to help patients learn skills and adjust to handicaps.
