About The Position

River Falls Post Acute, located in Marietta, South Carolina, is a 44-bed facility offering a low-key, fun work environment where employees are valued, appreciated, and supported. Our close-knit team is committed to providing exceptional care while helping residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy services designed to help residents improve function, increase independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
  • Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
  • Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans
  • Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timely
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programs
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activities
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendations
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas
  • Report equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environment
  • Participate in staff education and in-service training programs
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirements
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
