About The Position
River Falls Post Acute, located in Marietta, South Carolina, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. This facility, though small, offers significant benefits and a supportive, fun work environment. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services aimed at improving resident function, independence, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
- Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans
- Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timely
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
- Assist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programs
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activities
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendations
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Report equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environment
- Participate in staff education and in-service training programs
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirements
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
