About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides compassionate care to patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses, conducting therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This per-diem position is in Phoenix, Arizona, with weekday shifts available for pickup, and pays $42.00 per hour. Extensive orientation is provided, and the role may offer a path to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and, in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist, modify treatment during sessions as indicated.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
