About The Position

CoxHealth Rehabilitation In Partnership with Select Medical is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Ozark, Missouri. The hospital provides compassionate care for individuals facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The COTA treats patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This is a per diem position paying $33 per hour. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per diem employees may qualify for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated, in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
