About The Position

Pro Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join the team at Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose, Colorado. The COTA provides hands-on therapeutic support to help patients improve, regain, and maintain daily living skills under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. The role includes implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting outcomes, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support quality patient care. This is a PRN position.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and an associate degree.
• Current Colorado Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, with sufficient communication skills to perform required tasks.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Ability to provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans focused on improving patients’ activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support comprehensive patient care, using knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
