About The Position

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Palm Beach is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant at its inpatient rehabilitation hospital, housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Palm Beach. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

This per-diem role offers 12-hour shifts, with day and night shifts available. Compensation is $21.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for night and weekend shifts. The employer provides an extensive orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) participation after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA license in the state.
• Have certified BLS or complete BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients who cannot feed themselves and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
