About The Position

UF Health Rehab North is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, affiliated with Select Medical. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

The Certified Nursing Assistant supports patients’ daily care and well-being by collecting vital signs and other data, helping with personal care, assisting with meals and mobility, responding to call lights, and transporting patients to treatment areas. This is a per-diem position. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, and strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) participation after reaching 1,000 work hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA license in the state.
• Hold a certified BLS credential or complete BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
