About The Position

HomeWorks, a division of United Methodist Communities, is hiring per diem Certified Nursing Assistants for its staffing team in New Jersey. CNAs pick up available shifts based on their availability and provide resident-focused care across senior living communities. The position pays $24–$28 per hour based on experience and assignment, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Day, evening, and night shifts are available as needed.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey CNA certification.
• At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to produce a negative drug test.

Responsibilities

• Pick up available shifts that fit your schedule and support residents and care teams across the community.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing, grooming, and other routine needs.
• Provide attentive, resident-focused support while following established care plans and community guidelines.
• Observe resident status during shifts and share relevant updates or concerns with appropriate team members.
• Help residents with dining, mobility, and daily routines to support comfort, engagement, and independence.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers to foster a welcoming and respectful environment.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe setting for residents and staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members to support residents’ daily needs and overall well-being.

Benefits

• Shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for evenings, $2.00 per hour for nights, and $4.00 per hour for weekends.
• Choice of available day, evening, or night shifts based on availability.
