About The Position

Provides certified nursing assistant services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures, and at the direction of supervisors. This role supports nurses and other staff and assists residents with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, nutrition, toileting, and monitoring and documenting resident status.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state of South Carolina.
High school diploma or equivalent.
No disciplinary action in effect against certification.

Responsibilities

Provide supportive services to nurses and other staff as needed and perform assigned duties.
Assist residents with or perform activities of daily living in accordance with care plans, personal care records, and established policies and procedures.
Assist residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
Coordinate dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup and cleanup, meal-tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
Deliver nutritional supplements at assigned times, assist residents as necessary to ensure intake, and document intake.
Assist with weighing residents according to facility policy, record weights in designated locations, and report weight changes to the nurse and supervisor.
Help track residents’ skin condition and report pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears to the nurse and supervisor.
Assist nursing staff with toileting program activities.
Complete daily flow sheets to indicate specified tasks were done and document resident progress as directed by the supervisor.
Keep the nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with assigned work, such as resident refusal or reassignment to a nursing unit.
Report changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.
