About The Position

Aston Park Health Care Center, through Lutheran Services Carolinas, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide attentive overnight care and support to residents in a senior living community. Employment opportunities include full-time, part-time with benefits, and part-time without benefits. Full-time is defined as 30 or more hours per week; part-time with benefits is 20 or more hours per week; and part-time without benefits is 19 or fewer hours per week. Base pay is $18–$24 per hour or more, depending on experience. Shift and weekend differentials and an additional differential for teammates who opt out of benefits are also offered. Eligible teammates may receive medical benefits, paid time off, and other benefits after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• At least a 10th-grade education.
• Graduation from an accredited CNA program.
• Current CNA license in North Carolina.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and reaching.
• Ability to assist with repositioning and transferring residents while following safe lifting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, shaving, and toileting.
• Turn and reposition residents and safely transfer them between beds and wheelchairs.
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Assist with meals, measure food and liquid intake, and change bed linens.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nurses.
• Provide companionship, comfort, and responsive support to improve residents’ quality of life.

• Additional $2 per hour for third-shift hours worked Monday at 11 p.m. through Thursday at 7 a.m.
• Additional $4 per hour for weekend hours worked Friday at 11 p.m. through Monday at 7 a.m.
• Additional $2 per hour for teammates who opt out of benefits.
