About The Position

Provides certified nursing assistant services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures, and the direction of supervisors. The position is part of the Resource Pool at LNRC in Abbeville and works the 3rd shift, 11:00 PM–7:15 AM, with every other weekend required.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing with the state of South Carolina.
High school diploma or equivalent.
No disciplinary action in effect against the certification.

Responsibilities

Provide supportive services to nurses and other staff as needed and perform assigned duties.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, or perform them for residents, in accordance with care plans, personal care records, and established policies and procedures.
Assist residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transportation into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
Coordinate dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup and cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and meal-intake documentation.
Deliver nutritional supplements at assigned times, assist residents as needed to ensure intake, and document intake.
Assist with weighing residents according to facility policy, record weights in designated locations, and report weight changes to the nurse and supervisor.
Track residents’ skin condition and report pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears to the nurse and supervisor.
Assist nursing staff with toileting program activities.
Complete daily flow sheets indicating specified tasks were performed and document resident progress as directed by the supervisor.
Keep the nurse and supervisor informed of factors interfering with assigned work, such as resident refusal or reassignment to a nursing unit.
Report changes in residents’ conditions to their nurse and supervisor.
