About The Position

Mission Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its collaborative nursing team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT). The role supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The PCT assists with patients’ daily needs, monitors and supports care plans, and contributes to patient comfort, dignity, and recovery. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
