About The Position
Aspirus Medford Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its Med Surg team in Medford, Wisconsin. The CNA is a member of the patient care team and assists with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a part-time position at 0.6 FTE, or 48 hours biweekly.
Requirements
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices, normally acquired through a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and completion of a nursing assistant course.
- Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required; current registry status is recommended.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Maintain Basic Life Support training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing, as required for the identified clinical job codes.
- Meet annual continuing education unit requirements as recommended by the Education Council for the given year.
- For Home Health and Hospice roles, current CNA certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
- Previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home.
