About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department. This full-time position works weekend nights on 12-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday, plus one day during the week, for 36 hours per week. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, the employee performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit and serves as a focal point for communication at the nursing station, interacting with patients, visitors, staff, other departments, and physicians. The employee also assists staff nurses with patient treatment and care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span to assess patient-status information and interpret the needs necessary to provide age-specific care.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
Valid CNA license in the State of Indiana.
CPR.
Customer service skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of patient care and basic activities of daily living (ADLs).
Ability to use the Cerner Electronic Medical Record System.
Patient confidentiality.
Teamwork.
Knowledge of growth and development across the life span to support age-specific patient care.

Responsibilities
